After releasing the Aller-retour EP (2019), produced by Louis-Jean Cormier, the singer-songwriter unveils her first full-length album, Suite pour personne, released last January and produced by \u00c9milie Proulx and Arthur Bourdon-Durocher. In the spring, the artist took part in the 27th edition of the Francouvertes, winning first place in this showcase competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rooted in the piano, she offers a pop-folk-alternative universe in which voice and lyrics take center stage. Through luminous, immersive songs, she explores the loneliness, joys and scattered landmarks of the twenties. Jeanne C\u00f4t\u00e9 carries a quiet strength, influenced by the women who have always inspired her, from Marie-Jo Th\u00e9rio to Kate Bush to her grandmother Denise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jeanne C\u00f4t\u00e9 est originaire de Petite-Vall\u00e9e, en Gasp\u00e9sie, et \u00e7a ne la l\u00e2che pas: issue d\u2019une famille de musicien.ne.s, elle est obs\u00e9d\u00e9e par les liens humains, les fen\u00eatres et le fleuve qui l&#8217;accompagnent partout. Apr\u00e8s avoir lanc\u00e9 le EP Aller-retour (2019), r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Louis-Jean Cormier, l\u2019auteure-compositrice-interpr\u00e8te d\u00e9voile son premier album complet, Suite pour personne, paru en janvier dernier et r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par \u00c9milie Proulx et Arthur Bourdon-Durocher. Au printemps, l\u2019artiste participe \u00e0 la 27e \u00e9dition des Francouvertes, et se voit remporter la premi\u00e8re place de ce concours-vitrine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enracin\u00e9e au piano, elle propose un univers pop-folk-alternatif o\u00f9 la voix et les textes sont mis en valeur. \u00c0 travers des chansons lumineuses et immersives, elle explore les \u00e9tats de la solitude, les joies et les rep\u00e8res \u00e9parpill\u00e9s de la vingtaine. Jeanne C\u00f4t\u00e9 porte une force tranquille, influenc\u00e9e par les femmes qui l\u2019ont toujours inspir\u00e9e, de Marie-Jo Th\u00e9rio \u00e0 Kate Bush en passant par sa grand-m\u00e8re Denise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border-radius:12px\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/artist\/2dNYXvbpBSHNjYc8eAvQB7?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"380\" frameBorder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a debut EP entitled Sainte-Col\u00e8re in 2020, Etienne Dufresne released his debut album Excalibur in 2021, for which he was nominated for the Prix de la chanson F\u00e9lix-Leclerc and as Revelation of the Year at the GAMIQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He joins the 2022 Chansonneurs de Petite-Vall\u00e9e cohort, and makes his first major appearance at MTELUS, opening for French artist Eddy de Pretto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2022, Etienne shares JE RESPIRE, a catchy, no-holds-barred pop track presented with Ariane Roy. On this occasion, he met producer Alexandre Martel, with whom he began co-producing a new album, due for release in early 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s un premier EP intitul\u00e9 Sainte-Col\u00e8re en 2020, Etienne Dufresne sort son premier album Excalibur en 2021 pour lequel il se voit nomm\u00e9 pour le prix de la chanson F\u00e9lix-Leclerc et comme R\u00e9v\u00e9lation de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e aux GAMIQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il rejoint la cohorte 2022 des Chansonneurs de Petite-Vall\u00e9e en plus de faire une premi\u00e8re apparition marqu\u00e9e au MTELUS en premi\u00e8re partie de l&#8217;artiste fran\u00e7ais Eddy de Pretto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Etienne partage en 2022 JE RESPIRE; un morceau de pop accrocheur et d\u00e9complex\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 avec Ariane Roy.
