Completed in the midst of the Second World War, he turned it into a hymn to freedom and happiness, where joy bursts forth and becomes fireworks under the direction of Kensho Watanabe. Equally pyrotechnic, Latvian composer L\u016bcija Gar\u016bta&#8217;s concerto is a little-known gem, to be discovered by London-based Quebec pianist \u00c9lisabeth Pion.
