Laurence-Anne est une autodidacte. D\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de son adolescence, elle apprend la guitare et compose ses premi\u00e8res chansons. Inspir\u00e9e par Feist, l\u2019artiste opte d\u2019abord pour un cr\u00e9neau indie folk minimaliste, avant de tanguer vers une approche plus rock lorsqu\u2019elle d\u00e9barque \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. La jeune vingtenaire troque alors l\u2019acoustique contre l\u2019\u00e9lectrique et fait sa place jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la finale des Francouvertes, en 2017. Deux ans plus tard, son album Premi\u00e8re apparition atteint la longue liste du prestigieux prix Polaris et le sommet du palmar\u00e8s des albums francophones de l\u2019ann\u00e9e \u00e0 CISM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Laurence-Anne is a self-taught singer and guitarist who was a teenager when she wrote her first songs. The young woman was inspired by Feist and at first was really drawn towards a minimalist indie folk sound. Once she arrived in Montreal, she started leaning towards a more rock sound. She traded her acoustic guitar for an electric one, and in 2017 landed herself in the Francouvertes finals. Two years later, her first album Premi\u00e8re apparition was longlisted for the prestigious Polaris Prize, and reached the top of CISM\u2019s year-end best-of chart for French albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
