Totalement Sublime, c\u2019est aussi le nom d\u2019une couleur \u201cgr\u00e8ge riche\u201dde la compagnie B\u00e9tonel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Totalement Sublime, made up of \u00c9lie Raymond and Thomas Bruneau-Faubert (Foreign Diplomats\/Frais Dispo) and Marc-Antoine Barbier (Choses Sauvages), was born of a desire to create by giving themselves carte blanche. The electro-pop project paints contemplative environments, dealing with subjects such as fatigue, heat and nostalgia. Together, they experiment with eclectic arrangements, borrowing from 80s Japanese music (Yasuaki Shimizu, Ryuichi Sakamoto) as well as the New York avant-garde (Philip Glass, Arthur Russell, Gray). Totally Sublime is also the name of a &#8220;rich greige&#8221; color from the B\u00e9tonel company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border-radius:12px\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/artist\/1aeePX7Ou6mrvZYVUpk4OY?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"380\" frameBorder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Niia \u2013 chanteuse, compositrice, multi-instrumentiste, productrice, r\u00e9alisatrice et muse bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Los Angele \u2013 appara\u00eet et dispara\u00eet avec toute la pompe silencieuse d&#8217;un succube fantomatique ou d&#8217;une chanteuse de bo\u00eete de nuit dans un r\u00eave lynchien \u00e0 bord d&#8217;un vaisseau spatial. En m\u00eame temps, elle n&#8217;est pas seulement \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9cran\u2026 Non, elle est aussi derri\u00e8re la cam\u00e9ra, tirant les ficelles et jouant les d\u00e9esses avec les \u00e9motions de quiconque serait assez curieuxe pour \u00e9couter, regarder et ressentir. Elle est \u00e0 la fois compl\u00e8tement branch\u00e9e et totalement en retrait du monde. Elle est en effet s\u00e9questr\u00e9e dans son propre royaume de doutes, d&#8217;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9s, de d\u00e9sirs, de karma et d&#8217;impressions de soi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Niia &#8211; Los Angele-based singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, director and muse &#8211; appears and disappears with all the silent pomp of a ghostly succubus or nightclub singer in a Lynchian dream aboard a spaceship. At the same time, she&#8217;s not just on screen\u2026 No, she&#8217;s also behind the camera, pulling the strings and playing goddess with the emotions of anyone curious enough to listen, watch and feel. She&#8217;s both completely plugged in and totally removed from the world. She is, in effect, sequestered in her own realm of doubts, anxieties, desires, karma and self-impressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border-radius:12px\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/artist\/1KlUwB6uFECMC3zzvFvykx?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"380\" frameBorder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00e9t\u00e9rans de la sc\u00e8ne musicale montr\u00e9alaise, Raveen revien au POP Montr\u00e9al pour interpr\u00e9ter des chansons de leur deuxi\u00e8me album \u00e0 venir en 2024. Apr\u00e8s que la d\u00e9portation du bassiste-producteur Stokely Diamantis ait mis de c\u00f4t\u00e9 la sortie du disque, avec d&#8217;autres retards caus\u00e9s par la pand\u00e9mie, Raveen est retourn\u00e9 en 2023 en studio pour mettre des touches finales au disque qu&#8217;ils ont produit en collaboration avec le batteur de BRAIDS, Austin Tufts. L&#8217;album fait suite \u00e0 leur premier album de 2017, Always, qui leur a donn\u00e9 la chance de jouer au Festival international de jazz de Montr\u00e9al, \u00e0 POP Montr\u00e9al, ainsi qu&#8217;\u00e0 d&#8217;autres festivals et performances au Royaume-Uni et aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Veterans of the Montreal music scene, Raveen return to POP Montreal to perform songs from their forthcoming second album in 2024. After the deportation of bassist-producer Stokely Diamantis put the record&#8217;s release on hold, along with other delays caused by the pandemic, Raveen returned to the studio in 2023 to put the finishing touches on the record, which they produced in collaboration with BRAIDS drummer Austin Tufts.
