Laur\u00e9ate du Prix Coup de coeur 2022 T\u00e9l\u00e9-Qu\u00e9bec au concours MUZ | Vision Diversit\u00e9, son premier album, Bamako, sorti sous \u00e9tiquette Disques Nuits d\u2019Afrique en 2023, contient deux titres avec Habib Koit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sophie Lukacs composes and performs ballads in English, French, Hungarian and Bambara, blending Canadian- and Hungarian-influenced folk with centuries-old Mandingo grooves in a perfect and surprising blend. Based on her mastery of the bewitching 21-string kora, the instrument she chose on a whim after a long career on the violin, the music of the woman who followed the teachings of master Toumani Diabat\u00e9 is truly enchanting.
