Profond\u00e9ment enracin\u00e9e dans ce folklore carnavalesque traditionnel, la musique du groupe, fond\u00e9 en 2005 et nomin\u00e9 aux Junos et aux Polaris (et dont des morceaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 repris par Carlos Santana et Calypso Rose), n\u2019en est pas moins ultra moderne : sombre et joyeuse, po\u00e9tique et dansante, avec des textes incisifs et des modulations Ska, Dancehall, Dub, Zouk et Hip-hop soutenues par des cuivres \u00e9crasants,&nbsp;comme en t\u00e9moigne son dernier album&nbsp;<em>Carnival of the Ghosts<\/em>&nbsp;(2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Kobo Town continues to redefine Calypso music and push the boundaries of the Caribbean sound&#8221; (McLeod Gazette, 2022). Kobo Town is the district of Port-of-Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, where Calypso emerged in the late 19th century, influenced by African rhythms and European music.
