It’s no longer a secret, the Sacred Bones label is a rich breeding ground for talent and one of its most memorable projects is the Danish trio Lust For Youth. Their icy and understated pop is particularly tasty when spiced up with guitarist Malthe Fischer’s ingenious irruptions. Their choruses sneak up on us and we are overcome by an irrepressible desire to sing. On a song like “Stardom”, it is almost impossible to resist Hannes Norrvide’s lovely accent. This album contains several time bombs — if one listening is not enough, dive back into it without hesitation.
