San James: “Nos corps qui se longent”

Today, Montreal singer-songwriter San James (Marilyse Senécal) unveils the video for “Nos corps qui se longent”, from her third EP, to be released on September 11.

Through a road trip on Quebec soil, the young woman, constantly in search of authenticity, reflects on her surroundings. Her delicate, precise voice expresses the loneliness that persists in the midst of the bodies that graze each other.

After releasing the two EPs, No One Changes Overnight (2016) and Bridges (2018), and opening for the tours of Soran and Elliot Maginot, San James now plunges into a series of challenges with this new, eponymous EP: production, sound recording and arrangements. Moreover, after a long time working in English, she’s switched to French. Some songs seem to explore the ephemeral: “Courte fête”, “Petit feu”, and “Que je ne le brise pas”, among others.
