Recognized as one of the modern ambassadors of funk, Walla P opens up his universe where he mixes his favourite style with disco, hip-hop, jazz, and soul. Walla P is the founder of Voyage Funktastique, a label that also produces events, and he also produces a monthly radio show. The Montrealer works with Music Is My Sanctuary and has performed with the likes of Kaytranada, Pomo, Peanut Butter Wolf, Onra, and Breakbot.
Kizi Garden, an electro label with a strong house and techno background, then puts its DJs to work. Active in Montreal as well as in Tokyo and Paris, this collective, founded in 2014, also enlists beatmakers and DJs from Uruguay, Italy, Germany, and Romania. Managed by artists, Kizi Garden is a large family whose mission is to make electronic art accessible to all and to “capture the organic in the mechanical,” according to its website. Kizi Garden accepts special requests for their Dômesicle set, you can send them with this form. VJs Charles Desmarais, aka Gold Casanova, and Alexis Quesnel will be your guides for a 360-degree animated journey. Please note that after today’s show, there will only be one edition of the Dômesicle evenings left! You can still make donations to support the concert series right here and help spread the word about Montreal culture.
