Boaters became spectators for a while last Saturday when Angèle Dubeau and La Pietà, her 11-piece string ensemble, offered the “Les Dames du Lac” concert at Lac Tremblant. Taking place on a floating stage surrounded by boats, this concert allowed the audience to once again live the incomparable experience of a concert, and in complete safety. The program included works by composers dear to the violinist: Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds, and Jean-Michel Blais, as well as a tribute to Ennio Morricone. A preview is available below, and the full concert will be broadcast on tva.ca on August 8 at 8 pm. Another performance is scheduled at Lac Mercier on August 1. More info here.
